Amazing Journey Through Iraqi Kurdistan

Jonathan Dworkin, a medical student in his final year at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, is writing a series of posts from Iraqi Kurdistan over the next three months over at Kevin Drum's place.

Here are the first four:

January 11: First Impressions

January 14: City of Refugees

January 18: At Home in the New Kurdistan

January 25: Kurds and Jews

Great stuff.  There's something of the quality of good travel writing through a war zone.  Unnerving and frustrating to see but fascinating nonetheless.
