Praise for Dean

'Dean gets it'. Kos reprints a subscription-only article (with permission) on Dean from the National Journal.  He's doing what he said he'd do - make it work at every level.  The article is great and includes this:

Veterans of Dem politics who work on state and local campaigns are eager to praise Dean. In part, that's because Dean has devoted the bulk of the DNC's staff, energy and time to fulfilling his chairman's campaign promise: to revitalize the Dem Party at the precinct level.

Good time to remind you about Democracy Bonds - the easiest way to tell Dean you appreciate what he's doing.

Aww, Dean! Well, I suppose you deserve some praise too. What was PM's winning percentage last year, 75%?

I donno ... while our national office is obsessed with calculating it, I'm not really into it because a winning percentage will start to effect which races you choose -- it makes you less of a risk taker ... so I don't really like calculating it. But the masters do ... sigh.

Dean, *exactly.* If you wanna bat close to 1.000, just endorse all the incumbents. ;-)

Winning percentage in open seats, or number of incumbents upset is far a far more interesting measure of power.
