Intiative 933 Threats Obvious in Oregon's Measure 37

I've posted some materials from the No on 933 campaign regarding the impact of Measure 37 in Oregon. M37 is devastating. Tall condo developments in residential neighborhoods. Gigantic billboards.

As of mid-September, over 2400 claims have been filed, demanding over $5 billion in payment. The vast majority of these claims are to develop or subdivide farm and forest land. Altogether, 175,000 acres are affected by Measure 37 claims. A staggering 85% of this land is currently protected for farming and forestry. But Measure 37 claims aren’t just devastating rural areas, urban neighborhoods are being affected as well.

And the scary part - the poll numbers on 933 look like it may pass in Washington state. King County voters just aren't getting it - only 43 percent are opposed to 933 currently. Start emailing everyone you know about this disastrous initiative.

You people need to smarten up!

In the animation on the website below, they call it “Gangster Politicians,” and you know what, they’re exactly right.

Take action and vote yes on Initiative 933.

Forget it, Bob. No way are we going to let BIAW and their cronies eviscerate our environmental laws. Post your trollish comments somewhere else.

As for the poll, it actually shows less than 50% supporting I-933 (47%) with 31% against and 22% undecided. So, its passage is FAR from certain, but definitely keep up the fight.

I'm no troll. I am a native of our state and care about its future.

Passage of I-933 will be a slam dunk!

It just makes sense to protect our property rights.

Seattle Bob,
You’re exactly right. Measure 37 in Oregon is still being fought tooth and nail by the government who wants to control who make's money off of the property that that is annexed by cities. Measure 37 somewhat defeat's that as well as putting the rights back into the owners hands if they can afford to pay all the fees that the government puts on actually using your property.

People!! Fight to get some of your property rights back!!!!

Vote Yes on I933

How about our communal right to clean air, clean water and a stable real estate market? 933 would let my neighbor sell his property to a factory farm - or a strip club. Screw that...
