Murray and Cantwell Both Voted to Continue Bush's Iraq War

Not sure if everyone realized both our Senators in Washington voted to continue funding the Iraq War without a timetable. Essentially, Senators Murray and Cantwell gave Bush another blank check for the war.

37 Senators who failed us on Iraq and flushed the remaining credibility of the Democratic Party down the toilet.

FLoating around the moment of that vote was the Steve Clemmons piece on Cheney working an end run around Bush/Condi's Iran policy. And then I saw John Dean, who must read Clemmons, reiterate Steve's news on Countdown with the comment that this presVP believe that the original AUMF gives them the green light to punch out Iran. And so, all I have been able to think of is that Maria & Patty just gave a blank check not only to Iraq but to Iran as well - and Cheney's Plan A. I see Steve's got more up today, Joe Klein & Pat Lang are both backing his post. I understand that the logistics of pulling the money plug hadn't arrived yet for the Dems but sometimes one doesn't have the luxury of the right time and the right place needed to act.

Yes, I was aware. I'm shocked that Patty Murray went along with it, but it seems like something Sen. Cantwell might do. The other shocking thing is that James Webb voted for the bill. Here's the roll call:

Wow, maybe I'll have to stop talking bad about them so much.
