Heh.

Gotta like it when Bush comes to town for Reichert, and the netroots respond by generating over a 1200 new donors and over $40,000 for Darcy Burner.  That's nowhere near the $500k Bush will haul in from Republican fat-cats at $10k per person. But it's a pretty clear message that people are tired of Bush, Reichert and this horrible mistake of a war.

Heh, indeed, my friend! To add well-deserved insult to richly deserved injury, I'm predicting Bush won't raise the half-mill they're hoping for. He's not the draw he once was (nor is Reichert), and remember the fiasco last time Bush was in town. I wouldn't be surprised to see Darcy outraise him for this quarter - AGAIN.

And if the police actually shut down all the roads from the airport to the eastside in order to protect Bushie's motorcade, as predicted, it will create gridlock, prevent lots of folks from being able to get to or from work, appointments, etc. I suspect that won't endear Bush or Reichert to commuters in our area.

These guys just have a talent for interfering with people's lives and pissing us all off. Darcy could probably capitalize on that alone.

How nice to see both Jon and Switzer *back on the blog*!

No kidding, shoephone. They could have held this event at any of several locations in Seattle, Everett, or Tacoma that would have interfered with traffic far less than a Presidential drive across the lake in the middle of the day is going to do.

Cujo - I admit I have some selfish -- or at least self-preservation -- reasons for baing irritated about the roads shut down. I have a deadline to finish a job on the eastside on Monday!
